Excavation - Site Preparation – Area is prepared for Installation. (i.e.: borders are determined, grading is done, irrigation and drainage are addressed)

Base Material - Road Base and Decomposed Granite are delivered to project site.

Grading Primary Base - Used to determine slope and undulation of green. Used because of compaction and absorption characteristics

Grading DG - Used in leveling putting surface to create perfect ball roll. DG is a more workable than the Primary Base Layer.

Compacting DG – All base materials are compacted to about 94% to prevent settling of base materials.


Rolling DG – Part of the 5 step process that PCG uses to produce a true rolling putting surface.


Hand Trowel Base – Final step in perfecting base

Digging Cups – Hole locations are determined and cups dug.

Concrete poured around sluminum cups – proven system of ensuring cup stability.

Install Cushion – Used to keep surface consistent

Stretch & Cut Cups – Turf is cut around hole locations

Shape Green – Green shape adds character.

Cut Fringe – Fringe is cut into putting surface

Power Broom – Stands fibers up and evens sand fill.

Hand Broom White Sand – Tightens up sand fill to create consistent surface.

Hand Broom Green Sand – Top dressing layer .

Roll Green – Bends fibers to create natural green roll.

Finished Green – Ready to PUTT!
